Nicole Payne was just 18-years old when she went missing on 14th December 1991, when walking back from her boyfriends house in Winston Avenue around midday through a greenland known locally as ‘the black path’. She has never been found and her family and have reignited the campaign to find out more information, tripling the reward to £30,000 and launching a new website (www.findnicolapayne.co.uk) and social media campaign. She has now been missing for 26 years.
Nicole’s Mother said she and her husband are getting older and have thought Nicola would not be found while they were still alive, now appealing to the younger members of her family “Please never give up, and if she’s found please give her a good send off.”
Nicola’s cousin Amanda Eales, who is helping to run the #findnicolapayne social media campaign, said “It won’t go away because we won’t allow it to go away”.
Nicola’s parents and her four brothers have never known what happened when their daughter and sister disappeared. They also had the stress of a six-week trial in 2015 that saw two men acquitted of Nicola’s murder.
A video of Nicola will be shown at half-time of Coventry City’s and Wasps’ games this weekend. You can check out that video below;
